I have 25 chickens, Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Americaunas, and Black Australorps. Some lay brown, some lay green eggs. They have a chicken house for roosting and laying, and during the day they patrol a fence yard (about 50’ by 50’) eating bugs and vegetation. They get all-vegetable feed (Purina Layeena) and cracked corn for a treat. There are two roosters. I’ve had chickens for about 3 years now. People say my eggs are delicious. I agree – but then I’m biased.

I don’t use any chemicals or antibiotics. My chickens are in great shape and very healthy.
