Inspired by the Permaculture Principles that promote the orchestration of various components of an ecosystem working together to attain a symphony of healthy life and a surplus for sharing, Shady Brook Farm produces the highest quality animal products and seeks to educate others in an effort to provide healthy alternatives to industrial animal agriculture. We also provide prescribed grazing services from Athens to Atlanta. Reservations for a very few acorn finished pigs are seasonally available, please contact to get on the list. Of course, no hormones, or antibiotics are ever fed, however, we do supplement with small amounts of feed and sunflower seeds when pastures do not offer sufficient nutrition.

Though I have had over 100 sheep in past years and was the first to offer lamb cuts through ALG, the sheep flock has been greatly reduced to fit the available pasture and allow more time for prescribed grazing services. A very limited number of lambs will be offered as whole and half, and processed to your specifications at a local processor in Crawford. Please contact for availablility.

I also offer alternative landscaping services working around Athens all the way to Atlanta. Our highly motivated sheepy weed eaters can turn overgrown jungle into woodland paradise. We have 5 yrs experience and sites on UGA campus. Steep slopes, rough terrain and environmentally sensitive areas are our specialty. Low emissions, quiet and nice to look at!
