Beef tallow is the fat that is rendered from the animal. Tallow is used in soap and candle making. Our tallow is still in whole form and has to be rendered down over a slow consistent heat for several hours. Once rendered down if using for cooking is great to fry french fries in. One of our customers says that when she fries anything, she only use what she has rendered from Tink's Beef tallow. Make sure to store the rendered tallow in freezer. When rendering tallow you need to make sure to cut off any bits of meat that are left on the fat, and strain the tallow after you are finished to remove bits of meat that may have been left on, they will separate. Packages weigh between 6-10 lbs.

Tink's Beef- eye of the round roast...one of the best roast. Great in the crock pot or prepared in a 275 degree oven with lots of garlic,black pepper and salt. Place in baking dish with 2 cups of water, after 30 minutes add 2 envelopes of beef boullion. Cook about 2-21/2 hours, meat should be rare to medium rare in center. Slice thin, serve with parsley potatoes or makes a great french dip sandwich. Each Roast weighs around 2 pounds.

Marrow Bones-Marrow is an extremely rich food. You will be lucky to put away more than 2 bones worth. It doesn't look pretty but as soon as it starts melting in your mouth, you'll understand why our ancestors went through the trouble to get to it and why it's considered a rich man's treat. Soak bones in a brine overnight and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. With a marrow spoon (if you have one) or a butter knife scoop out the marrow(it will be rather gelatinous) and slather on toast points or wheat crackers. Marrow also makes a great flavoring addition in stews,soups and meatloaves. Each packages of Marrow Bones contains 6-8 bones

Tink's Beef Sirloin Steak is a great cut of meat. I prefer this cut cooked on the grill seared on each side about 2 minutes with a little salt,pepper and worcestershire sauce. Sirloin is my favorite cut of steak, it has a much more robust flavor ,it is great on the grill,in stirfry, or just seared in a cast iron skillet in a little butter or olive oil and fresh thyme, and a little worcestershire sauce. Remember not to over cook, our steaks are best rare to medium. If properly prepared they are tender and juicy. Each Sirloin weighs slightly under 1 pound
