Our small-batch coffee roaster preserves the natural sugars and flavors in coffee beans. In addition, we use natural milk produced at Sparkman's Cream Valley, a family-owned dairy in Moultrie, Georgia, which only raises happy All-Jersey cows with no artificial hormones. Lastly, we use 100% natural cane sugar which creates a perfectly smooth drink. The valve allows the coffee to be packaged immediately after it is roasted. It is the same coffee as currently offered in 12oz bags. GranCoffee's Ethiopia Bird Friendly comes directly from a farmer's coop in Eastern Ethiopia. The coffee trees are grown under a vast canopy of hard woods in a region where the natural vegetation is still preserved. Ripe red cherries are hand picked, pulped and wet-processed. Our roasting method ensures an uniform development of the bean during roasting. The color of the bean is uniform from center to surface. This results in a balanced taste profile and avoids bitterness.

It brings to the cup beautifully floral aromas, flavors of Neapolitan ice cream, and a natural gentle sweetness that combines with a creamy quality which envelopes and entices you to beg for more. This coffee originates from one of the districts in the Borena zone. It is found 25 miles south west of Yirgacheffe town, located north of Amaro Gayo and Fisahagentet. The coffee of the Oromia Cooperative, from the Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia, has a delicate aroma of rose water and vanilla. The floral hints gently yield to a rush of lemon drop candy and raspberry thumbprint cookie flavors. We are proud to offer this stunning coffee from the Negelle Gorbitu farming cooperative, one of the 146 cooperatives that make up the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. This coffee was featured in the documentary picture Black Gold, a film about the struggles of Ethiopian coffee farmers looking for fair prices for their high quality beans.
